I did a loop heading up the Labyrinth Trail to Atwood road, east on Atwood road aways to Rowland ridge. Then angled back down catching the top of what Green trail maps is calling Little Maui trail. The flowers are just starting up. Pretty quiet day out there.

Great forest trek up an old service road followed by some serious wilderness trekking off the beaten path. A machete and a chain saw would have been helpful for this one-serious overgrowth and fell trees/rocks all along the path.

We took our son and his wife around the Silver Falls Waterfall Loop. As you would expect on a warm sunny day, this place was a zoo, with 100's of people! We typically avoid these crowds but my it was my son's idea to spend this day here for his birthday, and who am I to argue. Very crowded but the waterfalls here are nothing short of awesome!

Had a great birthday weekend with Keetaan and Jason. All I wanted for my B-Day was a chance to go camping with my son and try to squeeze in a good Alpine Climb. We got to do all that and some sun bathing =) It's crazy how little snow there is, but the Alpine start made for some fun climbing on mixed terrain. We even got a few glissades in on the way down !!!
