Backpack Kevin, Cowboy and I headed out to fine a place to meet our kids this week.  Plans have now changed and we are on Plan B.  Hoping the best for the Grasshopper Fire crews.

PCT from Timberline

An after work backpack down the PCT.  In the morning, we headed up to Marmot Rock, then over across from the Alpine Campground to explore a bit.  What we thought was an old homestead turns out to be a sewage area for the Lodge.  Who knew?

McNeil from McGee Creek

Headed up McGee Creek to the Timberline, then over to a nice camp spot.  In the morning, we headed up to the McNeil Shelter, then back to the car.  Cowboy was spooked by the deer.

To the top of Palmer and Beyond

Hiked to the top of Palmer via the east side climbers trail and down the west side with our daughter & her boyfriend and both dogs. We drove to Mt. Hood Brewing in Government Camp, then back to Timberline and down the PCT a bit to spend the night. Woke up at 1am to see the Milky Way and enjoy the Summer Solstice.
