Impromptu Boulder hike. We hiked up to the Royal Arch and hung out between a couple of Flatirons for the afternoon and I did the whole thing in Sperry Docksiders. Skills.

We ventured to Littleton, CO to explore the massive Red Rocks and flatirons at Roxborough State Park. It was a nice, easy and enjoyable hike. I loved all of the views in the open space.

On the last day that Drew's parents were visiting we had a picnic at Chatauqua Park and then did a quick hike near the Flatirons and then showed them the Red Rocks of Boulder.

Drew's parents came to visit us in Colorado during October so we took them for a hike to see Calypso Cascades. My friend Steph came along too. Fun times. It was so windy!

This was one of our favorite hikes at Rocky Mountain National Park because there are so many lookouts and views of Longs Peak and surrounding mountains. Gorgeous.

A rewarding hike to Fern Lake at Rocky Mountain National Park. We were getting over a head cold, but still made it. There was a waterfall along the way, and the lake is so peaceful and surrounded by peaks. On our way back we spotted a family of elk in the woods and was able to get some neat shots before heading back to the trailhead.

Took Roper on his first Colorado hiking trip to Golden Gate Canyon State Park in Golden, CO. Mid-hike you end up at Panorama Point where you have an amazing lookout of a piece of the Continental Divide.

Our debut Boulder experience. Chatauqua Park in Boulder, CO is really easy for us to get to and provides for really neat hikes. On this first one, we hiked up to a rock quarry with amazing views of Boulder below.

This was our first hike we took when we moved to Colorado with our good friend and our sister. We hiked to the summit of Deer Mountain and fed chipmunks at the top while overlooking Estes Park, CO.
