This was an awesome hike. I wanted to try and experience all of the north side of Hood. I started about 6 in the morning and hit McNeil point at about 9. From there I made my way down through the burn areas from the 2011 Dollar lake fire. There was still a lot of beautiful meadows tucked away in all the burned trees. Saw some cougar tracks and a lot of bear poop.
