When we hiked Yocum we saw the green meadows of Paradise Park and wanted to check it out but were unsure at the time if there was a trail going up there. I came across the trail while reading trip reports on portland hikers. While reading the reports I also came across a few talking about a crashed B26 from 1949. Being the a fan of historical sites I had to see that too. It was a rough hike from the top of Paradise park we made our way across hood and really got experience the volcanic soil in all its glory. There wasnt much wreckage left but enough to know it was a place crash.
