21 miles of hiking • 8500' elevation gain •

Set out to do the quad dog today with Captain Defiance and Eric. Got three laps in and had to call it an early day due to something that came up. Still got a nice workout from it.

What's next?

"What's next?"

Man, maybe a psych evaluation is what's next for me... :)

I think what's next for me might be Gorge to Timberline or maybe that Timberline Trail trip in a single day, not sure I can walk more than 24 miles though as today was most miles I've walked in a single day but the Gorge to Timberline is about 3' less gain than this trip...

Hmm, the Gorge to Timberline sounds like a fun challenge :)

I'm definitely planning on a Timberline circumnav overnighter this fall, Eric. Not a day, but close.

I think I want in on that.

Hey Kyle, the 1 day circumnav or the 2 day? I think Mayhem and Guy were going to also do a 1 day. Could maybe get 5 or 6 hikers for the 1 day Timberline...

Hey Justin, yeah, those are my 2 choices. Could most likely get Mayhem and more for the one way Gorge to Timberline but would require a lot more coordination with cars and super early start times if we all wanted to start from the same point. The circumnav would be a lot easier car wise but it might be harder, will have to research the mileage and elevation gain... :)

Well, both. I'm not sure how fit I can compared to you maniacs though. 40 miles and 8300' vertical in a day is a big glass of booze, and might be better sipped than chugged. I just stayed in the McNeil Point shelter last night, and it'll be weeks before doing the thing in a day is a possibility.
