8.5 miles of hiking • 1750' elevation gain •
Went out on a spur off Indian Ridge in the Roaring River Wilderness and dropped down to explore the 3 lakes at the headwaters of Splintercat Creek. Too many rhodies kept me from visiting all three so I took two and bailed.

I was hoping to do a loop this winter dropping off Signal Buttes and coming up Cougar for a short way before possibly traversing over to Splintercat on up to Indian Ridge. I started to do it back in September but got caught in some freezing rain and bailed. The rhodies always make me think twice though.
