19.5 miles of hiking • 1500' elevation gain •
Spent 6 days with the family based in Newport. Made several jaunts from base, mostly in the morning when some were sleeping in. South Beach, Cape Perpetua, Yaquina Head, Yaquina Bay, Devils Punchbowl, Otter Crest, Cape Fowlweather.

Not sure what kind of whale it was, I assumed it was not an Orca since the seals didn't seem to be too bothered. There was three of them that I could see, they were very large, and they were as close as 150' from shore at times. They were pretty fun to watch.
