looking at the pic, Do your pups complete the whole lap with you?

I've done Kings Summit and Elk Creek, and WRT between, but never the connector ridge.
Is it safe for well conditioned, well behaved, off-leash pups? Sometimes I worry about the exposure, You never can tell what the hound is about to do.

Max, the golden dog, had no problems the entire hike. Oliver, who is younger and less experienced on the trail, didn't like the creek crossings w/logs (had to carry him across). There's one section between Elk and King's that is very steep and eroded. It's where someone left a rope. Max just ran down, but I had to help Oliver down (we did the loop CCW). The dogs actually had an easier time with their lower center of gravity and claws. I kept my dogs on leash in the higher traffic sections (summit of King's down to juncton with WRT) just because some hikers don't like to be surprised by a dog running down the trail. You know your dog best :)
