Pleasant, easy first half. Mixed snow/mud trail on north side. Gorge-eous views from Fallen Tree. What I call the second half of the hike is amazing...rough trail, basalt stacks, climbing through waterfalls...just note that the last 1.5 miles or so of the trail is closed from Feb through July 15th.
