August 4 to August 5, 2012 11 miles 1,000 feet gained 1 night
From the Camp Triglav camping place in Trenta to the spring of the river Soca, this was a nice, relaxing day trip within the UL Summit. On the way back we visited the Alpine Botanical Garden of Slovenia, which showcased many of the flowers we've seen on our trip.
August 1 to August 5, 2012 43 miles 19,000 feet gained 4 nights
We started from the camping place in Bohinja Bistrica, from where we hiked for five days till Trenta through the Triglav National Park. The highlight was bivying at 2300m elevation on a barren high plateau with Mt. Triglav in view and Ibexes as neighbours. A superb trip!
July 30 to July 31, 2012 12.5 miles 6,500 feet gained 1 night
A day trip with the UL Summit, this was a very fine ridge walk, though took longer than anticipated.
May 15 to May 16, 2012 84 miles 1,500 feet gained 1 night
A bikepacking trip, we rode from the Parkano railway station to the Seitseminen National Park and onwards towards Kuru, where we camped at a nice camp site. The next day we continued to Kuru and then via back roads to Tampere, from where I took the train back home.
March 12 to March 15, 2012 40 miles 1,000 feet gained 3 nights

A skiing overnighter with a friend, decided on short notice. Beautiful weather on the second day, crappy snow on the first.
