Started hike early at the south end of the Merrimac Ferry Wayside. Hiked entire first segment as well as the .9 mile connecting route to the end of the 2nd segment. Beautiful fall hike with lots of views of Lake Wisconsin and overlooking farm land. We used a bike shuttle by dropping of a bike at the end of the route to get back to our car at the beginning.

We just received in the mail our giant Ice Age Trail map and decided to start from scratch segment hiking the entire trail. Decided to start big by knocking out 2 segments on a rainy morning.
