July 12, 2013 3 miles 250 feet gained
Departed the paved path for a more strenuous hike. Departed that trail at one point and found ourselves in a beautiful meadow. Got a chance to hang the hammock too near the trail-head at the end. Lots of cyclists, runners and dogs. Even little bits of history along the way.
June 22, 2013 8.5 miles 1,500 feet gained
Awesome views from Pulpit Rock and the Pinnacle. The beginning was almost entirely on an incline, while the end of the loop was a much easier descent. This hike was a few miles too many for the puppy though she handled crossing rocky terrain like a mountain goat.
