I wanted to get out and see the place I have been going since I was an infant, while there was still some hope of social distancing. Really full waterfalls, lots of slippery spots and much greener than I expected. Until they get the railings replaced on the exit that were taken out by a landslide, you have to park at the Tooth Rock trailhead and hike 1.7 miles in to the trailhead itself. We ran into several people we knew and managed to make it to Twister Falls, despite the short amount of daylight. So grateful to those who worked to clear this trail.

I went today and ran into a few slides, and ended up turning back because I was overwhelmed by the amount of people and I was worried about further slides. Apparently the water crossing before Tunnel was also waist high today from the rain. You were lucky to make it before the crowds. I didn't have the time. Did you also run into slides? They looked fresh like they happened in the last day.

Thanks Jen. My parents have passed but I got to share many Eagle creek pictures with them over the years. Sarah we were lucky! There weren't any slides on New Years Eve and I've heard that the logjam we crossed on at that last crossing before Tunnel has since become partially submerged.
