JM went hiking Washington Cascades January 10, 2016 5.5 miles 2,750 feet gained
An incredibly beautiful day snowshoeing the slopes of Mt Rainier. We traveled up to Panorama Pt, then beyond to a traverse below McClure Rock and into a large bowl east of Paradise. Conditions were pretty much perfect, even a bit warm. Hard crust on top of powder, avalanche danger was moderate.
