Nice slow hike to take in the views before the snow comes. Lots of great views. Larches in the distance were golden. No snow on trail and the Badger Lake fire is still smoking.

I missed seeing this trip report. You went from the opposite side from me. Such a great place!

Yes it's great. I thought about doing it from Elk Meadows, but I was in the mood for high altitude from start to finish. Still want to do it the other way. Perhaps next year!
