Placid, Chenamus Lake, and a couple offtrail ponds. Found hunters' hidden wildlife cam, got a few selfies. Lakes were a bit cold - great with the hot weather. Little did I know it was last weekend to camp in IHW in 2017, hope to see these places intact next year...

Nice to know it may be someone other than hunters. I saw a lot of strange stuff on west side of the wilderness; one time I went through meadow marked with rocks and with big, empty bag of nuts, almost like someone's feeding bears before hunting (obviously not a good idea with so many backpackers around, and probably illegal). Some well-used camps in most obscure places, well-flagged trails that never connect to official trail. However difficult is to wait till next year, I hope wildlife in IHW gets a good rest from humans this fall.

I hope to see them next year too! The camera looks a lot like ones various conservation groups use to monitor wildlife as well.
