Started out with a ridiculous bushwack, but then spent hours wandering the woods in my favorite go to wonderland. Didnt see anyone.

There are still fragments of some of the old trails left. The firebreak roads are nasty, but they keep most people out, and force us persistant ones to be creative. Lots of intact forest untouched by the fire to wander through. Trail schmail!

I was just thinking about off trail possibilities when I was up there today. I had heard that post fire they were required to fell trees across some of the old roads up there that they used as fire breaks. Lots of forgotten roads up there.
