7 miles of hiking • 1750' elevation gain •
Each time I hike this trail, a little chunk of fun has been removed. No more roots, rocks, walking under waterfalls, crossing treacherous gulleys, peering over RR tunnel, crossing the road. 6 months off limits. I hear the scree field is going next.

Yep, I did it on 1/4 and 1/24, and the scree field "disappeared" between those two dates. The new reroute is tedious, and pretty boring. Still got to the RR overlook, though.
They're definitely doing their best to ruin this trail, and yet they're dumping more money into it than probably the next ten combined! WTH?
