5.5 miles of hiking • 2750' elevation gain •
An incredibly beautiful day snowshoeing the slopes of Mt Rainier. We traveled up to Panorama Pt, then beyond to a traverse below McClure Rock and into a large bowl east of Paradise. Conditions were pretty much perfect, even a bit warm. Hard crust on top of powder, avalanche danger was moderate.

Great pictures! Maybe just a drift at the side of the lodge, but looks like epic amount of snow. Are snow passes required inside National Park?
