My wife and I love this wilderness as it's devoid of people and a great forest hike! We didn't quite make it to the other end of the wilderness (another 1.5 miles in addition to what we hiked) as I was having stomach issues. We met a single backpacker on the way out, and found out he was preparing to hike the PCT next summer!

It's definitely worth putting on the list of future hikes in the Yachats area! It's quite a change from the coast hiking, which tends to be hard on the knees and back if that's all we do. I appreciate the kind feedback! Mike

Despite many trips to Yachats, I have never hiked this trail, but, always wondered about it. From your report, it sounds like it is definitely worth doing sometime. Thanks!
