My ramble got a lot longer than I expected. Explored a bit of the area in the basin that has been closed for more than 3 years, it's ridiculous!

Also excited to find that Palmer Mill Road from Angels Rest is open again.

I had heard that the Palmer Mill Road was covered in logs from post fire road deconstruction. Doesn't Sound like that was an issue for you?

There is a section just below Multnomah Basin Road(brown gate) that is "decomissioned", but a footpath has been established by local users. That spot has had almost annual washouts and they gave repairing it 10 years ago. Now Trails Club and FS vehicles drive in from the Larch Mountain gate.

The newly re-opened section of road is from Angels Rest to Brower road-at the bridge over Bridal Veil Creek- this also washes out frequently! I think the uphill residents on Brower road must have requested it reopened.
