Outside + Stuff went hiking May 1, 2016 7.5 miles 4,500 feet gained
The road was closed so we had to hike 1.5 miles to get to the base of the mountain. And then it was 4,440 feet of bushwhacking and scrambling till we reached the summit. Amazing views, but definitely never going to do this hike again. It's a complete thrasher.
