Yes. I liked it, but next time I'd probably do it out and back from the west end. It's interesting to see if last weekend's rain had any effect on concrete staircase, it almost looked like it's going to slide down.

Where is this elusive staircase? I've never seen any trails out of Wahkeena gorge before?!?

Chris - it's abandoned trail that goes left (if going uphill) at one of lower switchbacks on Wahkeena trail, well before you enter Wahkeena gorge. Alternatively, you can find its east end going down Multnomah Creek (don't cross the creek on main trail).

I went on loop counter-clockwise, that's why gorge pictures got before staircase pics.
