Eagle Creek - 7.5 mile camp - Eagle Benson Falls

Quiet Day, tried to channel the spirit of Bosterson, but failed and only went about 1/2 mile up Eagle Benson. The Benson Plateau awaits my next attempt.
Soaked on the way back, broke a bootlace 7 miles in. Boo. Only a few other groups out today,(3) I did this one solo. I've never seen Eagle Creek so quiet. Ice and snow in really weird spots confirmed. After High Bridge for at least 1/10th of a mile, and much lower than I saw on Hamilton Saturday. Anywhere above 1000" ice patches are holding on in the EC drainage.

CORRECTION: After looking at the PH field guide, Eagle Benson Falls is really named "Wy'East Falls"

Cool that you reached Tunnel Falls and beyond. We got twice in 3 weeks but had too late start for that. That trail never feels 'old' no matter how often hiked.

Hey Roman, don't worry, my first two attempts failed also last year due to lack of daylight. First time I made High Bridge(so cool), second timeI turned around at Eagle Benson, big mistake, the goods are only about 25 mins after the junction with EB. I guess one could keep going to Tanner Butte, but one would have to be Loony, as thats at least 25 miles RT.
