August 4 to August 6, 2012
There were some nice flowers on Snowgrass Flats too - just not the usual lupine/heather mix yet
This red snow (caused by some bacteria or fungi as I recall) is pretty common near Old Snowy
Goat Lake is still frozen with some snow around
Me with my mom, just below Old Snowy summit
Main ridge of Goat Rocks - Ives Peak on the right, Gilbert Peak on the left, with Goat Citadel, Big and Little Horn just to the right of Gilbert
Literally millions of avalanche lilies everywhere - which means the snow has melted within last week or so
Slide Falls has much more water now because of snowmelt
Many meadows have either just melted off, or due in a few days.
