Took the Metro North from Penn Station to Sloatsburg Saturday morning and hiked in to Pine Meadow Lake. It's about 1 mile along the highway and 4 on trails, all well-maintained and not too strenuous. We took the long way around the lake looking for a great spot and found one under some tall pine trees right by the water. Dinner was a hearty stroganoff & egg noodles to fend off the cold. K & J couldn't sleep and started the fire again about 4 AM. After we had breakfast and broke camp, we hiked back to Sloatsburg for a 2nd breakfast at Rhodes. Doing it all again tomorrow.
