Had the exact same reaction the first time hiking this trail. Recently did the entire loop and, again, wondered why I hadn't done it before. There appears to be a large circuit of trails from the top viewpoint that I plan to explore. Trapper Creek Wilderness is my favorite "close-in" area for hiking.
