Waterfall Lap - Wakeena to Multnomah and Back

2

Slow Day at the Tourist Stop.

Not that I minded. Started at Wakeena, up on Vista, over to Larch Mt., where i went up as far as the damaged bridge.
photos follow, whole loop is passable, no snow.
I would even say the Mult. creek bridge on Larch mt. trail is good for one at a time (not forest service approved)

Has anyone that reads these posts hiked the closed perdition trail? Or any portion of it? the Wakeena side looks all Blackberry city, but I walked a bit of the Multnomah side before turning around. Looks somewhat passable.

Anyway I started at 11am, and only saw two others before the crowds at the falls.

Nice picture of the closed bridge. That bridge is VITAL! I hope the USFS can repair what is there rather than moth balling something that actually still looks useable and waiting 2 years for a replacement. Thanks for posting this Nat! :)

You could totally walk over it one at a time. Maybe I did, Maybe I jumped up and down to see it if would shake a lil. Nothing.
Of course I would never do that really though I would use it,

  • slowly and one at a time.

If you look right when standing at the bridge, You can see a log with about 100 6" nails sticking out of it. old bridge? ha it makes this iron one look the golden gate.

Wow! The bridge really did get trashed! That's gonna take some serious money (and probably time) to fix.
