Neat! Is it worth the drive from Portland?

For just the 5 miles on a regular day I would say no, it isn't worth the drive. However yesterday, with the 2-3 ft of snow my hiking partner likened it to climbing on a StairMaster for 4 hours on a ship on rough seas. We burned over 2500 calories slogging up and back down so it was worth it. We plan to do the 8.5 mile climb later in the spring.
