Went with my dad to take a photo sunset from one of the points (my dad is professional photographer); if we knew the road is open all the way to Observatory if could be quite a snowshoe trip! It snowed lightly but it won't be much this time.

Saw 25+ of elk, not sure how they find enough food, but they look good.

so..........the road was open all the way???? Awesome!! dang i woulda been up there this past week for a day hike. just assumed it was closed weeks ago

Yes, we checked the road to JRO just in case, and it was open all the way. I assume they may close it though after the next big snostorm.
