So did you pay for the permit? Have you found any places to park outside the state park border?

My mom bought annual Discover pass so we could go there regularly. But speaking of free parking - I noticed a good pullout on N side of SR14, not a quarter mile east from the turn to Hamilton trailhead. It's technically State Park but seems they cannot ban parking on road shoulder per se. The parking at Beacon Rock won't work - it requires the pass.
