Photos from Smith Rocks and "Point 4230"

We started by hiking a "traditional" steep trail over Misery Ridge ...and dropped via Monkey Face side, but then kept right Took a faint trail at one of switchbacks, and it went UP The views became better and better, but our trail soon petered to nothing We kept on the ridge and soon intersected a good trail that is not on official map (I tried to follow Sullivan's map, though it got it only partially correct) After many great ridge-top viewpoints... ...we reached Burma Road. From here, my dad suggested to take a steep trail uphill to get extra exercise, and we discovered it leads to one of the best viewpoints up there the view from "Point 4230". The weather was very hazy; I can imagine the views on a clear day Smith Rocks from Point 4230 (not sure if this summit has an official name) Sunset at Smith Rocks Hiked it clock-wise
