24 miles of hiking • 1500' elevation gain • 1 night
Wanted a change of scenery so we went and hiked the Deschutes River. It's an awesome hike even though the majority of it is along a road / old railroad. The scenery is very cool, much different than the other hikes I've been doing.
We hiked in 9 miles and setup camp. I then did a 6 mile side hike to the top of Rattlesnake Grade. Not much for views at the top other than green fields in every direction. Friday we hiked the 9 miles back out to the car.
Fun time.
