I met a friend on BLM land near Maupin on Sunday for her first stroll off pavement since the quarantine began. We drove separately and stayed distant. The weather went back and forth between hot and cold as the clouds passed over us, and it even hailed for a few minutes. Saw only two other groups all day, otherwise glorious solitude. We both made sure to gas up in Portland and we didn't stop in any local communities. I'm trying to find a happy medium between keeping my sanity and still being safe.
