Last hike of the year! A pleasant, mostly flat stroll along the Deschutes River, starting at Deschutes River State Park. I wore my glacier glasses for the hike and my eyes still hurt from all the sunshine I soaked in today. The burn from this summer really has the area looking alive and green, as the hillsides are reawakening. We even ran into some wildflowers, how weird is that for the last day of the year?

An enjoyable day with friends, and a great way to end the year.

Curious, all my stats for the year on the scoreboard have disappeared, and this hike isn’t showing up in the stats either.
