Headed up the main Herman Creek trail. No real snow in the woods but on the trail it was slanted ice. We turned around at Camp Creek, The went up the Gorton Creek trail for awhile. There was a washout less than a mile up that was kind of sketchy. Then we went down to the bridge that crosses the Creek and heads over to Benson. On the far side of the creek it was slanted icy snow again. Definitely spikes would be needed to go more than a few miles up any of the trails except maybe Nick Eaton.
