8.5 miles of hiking • 3500' elevation gain •

Wow did not expect this hike to be that hard! We had to climb up a boulder field wish wouldn't have been as bad if we had not taken our two mini australian shepherds who just couldnt do the boulder field. My husband and I had to carry them up to the trail. The views were amazing, on such a clear day we could see Rainier, Adams, St Helens, and Hood. The Gorge was amazing. The top of table mountain is very much sub-alpine and plain beautiful. We did the loop, and the way down was hard on the knees as well, is goes down a section of trail that is juts all scree and rock and you have to hold on to the branches of the adjacent trees or not be ashamed of falling on your butt. Beautiful nonetheless. A lot of elevation gain once you hit Heartbrake ridge trail.
