Rogue River Trail May 2012

40 miles of hiking • 2000' elevation gain • 4 nights

A four-day downstream walk of the Rogue River. We hired a shuttle service to ferry our car to the exit trailhead. It was expensive but made the trip ideal. Weather was great, just a few showers the first night. The heat was only strong one afternoon and only bad in areas without tree cover. Flowers were in bloom. We had no issues with bears, though we did seen signs of their presence. No tick, either, so we managed to avoid the challenges of this trails. Four of us out together, family, our longest trip together. It was perfect.
