Had a great walk in the woods with two good friends. Never been there before, but will certainly be going back. This is a delightful trail, suitable for nearly anyone.

Awesome Karl, did you get your feet wet at any of the crossings?

Nope! Just wore mesh trail runners yesterday. A couple of times, little puddles on the trail would seep through the sides when I was just enjoying the scenery, but we didn't take on any crossings of significance. (There was another group we saw ford Siouxon twice, though! Had to be lack of a map? Dunno...)

If you want to do Wildcat falls or trail, you have to ford Siouxon. If it was doable, there is a loony loop to be made out of Horseshoe Ridge and Huffman Peak ridge trails.

Yeah, Huffman/Wildcat would definitely involve a couple fords. (Presumably, although I can't say for sure at the far western end, if that's where you were thinking of closing the loop?) Doesn't look like any major crossings at all for Horseshoe Ridge, though?

We got a pretty late start, and just took the casual pedestrian tour of the creek yesterday. :-)
