Cape Horn

7 miles of hiking • 1750' elevation gain •

Pleasant, easy first half. Mixed snow/mud trail on north side. Gorge-eous views from Fallen Tree. What I call the second half of the hike is amazing...rough trail, basalt stacks, climbing through waterfalls...just note that the last 1.5 miles or so of the trail is closed from Feb through July 15th. Unless you feel like risking a whopping 100 dollar fine, don't continue past the fence. Unless you love walking on paved roads, park a car at the end of Cape Horn Rd and shuttle back to park-and-ride trailhead.
