Barlow Pass Snowshoe+Camp

4 miles of hiking • 1250' elevation gain • 1 night

This was an overnight snowshoeing trip. We started at Barlow Pass Snow Park and took the Pacific Crest Trail towards Twin Lakes. We camped at 4600'. The trail was not very busy with only the occasional skier or snowshoer. The temperature was in the mid 20's and probably dipped into the teens overnight. It was snowing the entire trip and we woke up to a few inches of additional snow. The PCT was relatively well marked, however, the Twin Lakes Trail wasn't easily distinguishable. We plan to go back to snowshoe around Twin Lakes this season.
