Hi Paul,

I'm thinking of stopping by the Granite Peaks area on my way to Breitenbush tomorrow. I've been riding a lot lately, and I'll have my mtn bike with me. Got any suggestions for a good hike 'n bike loop, I know quite a few of those roads on my map are decommissioned. Ps I dont mind riding up hill!

I've done 2 bike n hikes in the Rho Ridge area, one covering the south end of Rho Ridge and the other at the north. The hiking part in both cases was pretty long. At the north end I parked at the upper Burnt Granite trailhead and coasted on my bike over to Rho Creek Trail to get on Rho Ridge heading north to visit Mt Lowe and exited back to my vehicle via Burnt Granite Trail. The short route to the upper BG TH has been decommissioned - I haven't looked into the other route but you may run into snow problems above 4000'. I guess I'm not much help, let us know what you did if you do something.

The south part of Rho Ridge I described here - lot of off-trail:

Have fun!
